Fashion ♥

Each of these women have a distinct style, each of which I completely love. They obviously have a flair for fashion (or their stylist does) but even so they know what works for them and what doesn't. Whether they're dressed up or dressed down they look fantastic no matter what. I'd give anything to have 10% of the style each of these women have.

University

I finally have all my choices sorted with Kingston being my main choice! Just have to perfect my personal statement now and I'm ready to send it off. Hopefully my mum will pay to send it off seeing as I'm very skint. Wish this cheque would hurry up clearing and my ebay money would go in my account!

Seeing as though Sims 3 runs extremely slowly on this laptop I was delighted to find that there was an app so I could have it on my iPod. This was an extremely bad move, I'm actually addicted! Any spare moment I have I go on it! I also downloaded the ambitions one too!
The motivation to get into university has struck, and although I'm not completely happy with my personal statement, nor have I chosen all my choices...I'm feeling rather confident. The only thing worrying me is money, if I don't manage to find a job soon I will be unable to save for university which will be a disaster considering I don't get a very large grant, and quite often the money I need for accommodation alone eats up most of this.
My netbook is beginning to annoy me too, it seems unable to function properly causing me to leave letters out that I've actually typed causing things to take a lot longer than they should.
I set my phone contract for cancellation yesterday which means that in a months time I shall have my shiny new Blackberry Torch! I'm excited! I would be able to get it now if o2 didn't do such appallingly priced contracts...on Orange from phones4u I can get 300 minutes, unlimited texts, unlimited internet and the phone for free for only £35 a month. The same money on o2 only gets you 300 minutes, unlimited texts, 500mb internet and the phone costs £179! It's actually ridiculous!

I've got some serious writers block with my personal statement, it's getting there but not quite finished yet. Good job really seeing as I've only found 4 courses so far and would like to get the most out of the £20 UCAS rob us of! Hopefully will have it all sorted by the weekend! Very scary...especially seeing as I've only managed to visit 1 of the universities I'm applying for! Hope I like them all!

Didn't realise that I missed blogging yesterday, actually had a busy and productive day so I suppose I can let myself off. Yesterday I went shopping and actually found a winter jumper, wish I could have found more than one. The weather lately is shocking, when I left the house this morning it was practically icy! Last night we had a quiet night at the pub which was fun, although the quiz machines are too addictive, we must have put so much money in it!
Rather productive day at sixth form today, did quite a few pages of revision! Another day off tomorrow due to the teacher being on a course so I plan to get all my uni stuff sorted and hopefully my ucas form sent off. Only managed to find a couple of courses that I want to consider so I'm not really sure what to do atm. I still have my personal statement to finish off too and I'm sure of what direction to focus on (media or journalism).
Hopefully all will be sorted by tomorrow.
Made a rather tasty meal tonight, will update later with the pictures and the recipe!
Watched my new favourite programme "The Zoo" tonight, and fell in love with the baby elephants. There was a newborn called George who was absolutely beautiful. Have to admit I wasn't too keen on watching the attempted mating of the Komodo dragons.

X factor

Every Sunday night is becoming rather familiar with the X Factor. Katie Waissel in consistently in the bottom two and each week she gets kept in. Facebook and Twitter explodes as soon as this news is announced, so are people actually voting for her? It is an outright fix. She's in the bottom two each week If she won then would she even get far in her career? She'd need fans to buy her songs and as far as I can see she has more haters than fans.
I think tomorrow's newspapers should be interesting after tonight's events. Aiden shouldn't have gone and I think it's definitely fixed with him because he is actually amazing. I believe that Katie should not even be in the competition, she's already had a record deal. Not to mention how much she messed up in the audition and judges houses.

Yummm

Tagliatelle with Ham

Ingredients:
450g/1lb fresh or dried tagliatelle
175g/6oz unsalted butter
350g/12oz prosciutto, cut into 5cm/2in strips
175g/6oz Parmesan cheese

Serves 4

1. If you are using dried tagliatelle, cook it in a large saucepan of boiling water for 10-12 minutes, or until tender but still firm to the bite. If you are using fresh tagliatelle, it will be ready in 2-3 minutes after the water has come back to the boil.
2. Meanwhile, melt the butter in a frying pan. Add the prosciutto and cook over a medium heat, stirring constantly, for 5 minutes. Remove the pan from the heat.
3. Drain the tagliatelle and tip into a warmed serving dish. Add the prosciutto and melted butter and toss well. Sprinkle evenly with the Parmesan cheese, season with pepper and serve.

My changes:
I was only making this for myself so I didn't need all the ingredients, I did consider quartering the recipe but I decided to estimate with the amounts to make it a lot easier. Instead of using prosciutto I used ham as that was all I had in the house so I shall try it again with the prosciutto at some point. I also added parsley to the recipe for a bit more flavour. I decided to serve with a mixed leaf salad as I sometimes find pasta a bit plain on it's own.
This was an absolutely gorgeous meal, and I will definitely be making it again. It was incredibly easy to make and didn't even take 10 minutes. Another great recipe from "Only 4 Ingredients".
